Melaka's Sultanate Palace
The wooden replica of Melaka's Sultanate Palace was built based on description and reference to the old palace in 'Sejarah Melayu' (The Malay Annals). This place acts as the Cultural Museum of Melaka and it is located at the foot of St. Paul's Hill.

Proclamation of Independence Memorial
Built in 1912, the former club house of Melaka Club now houses exhibits of the country's struggle to independence. Exhibits include historical documents, photographs, maps, paintings, costumes, artifacts, currency and etc.

Governor's Museum
The Governor's Museum commemorates the important role played by the Governor's
office in Melaka. Among the museum's collections are portraits, official
costumes, medals, decorations and personal collections of past and present
governors.

Museum of History & Ethnography
Built in the 17th century as the official residence of Dutch Governors and their officers, the Stadthuys is an excellent example of Dutch architecture. It now houses the History and Ethnography Museum which display relics from Melaka's glorious past.

Muzium Rakyat (People's Museum)

Maritime Museum
The museum was built based on the image of the 'Flor De La Mar': the Portuguese galleon that sank in the Straits of Melaka on its way to Portugal, laden with Melaka's treasures. Here, visitors may have a closer look at Melaka's history from the 14th-19th centuries.

The Baba
& Nyonya Heritage Museum
Babas and Nyonyas are descendants of the early Chinese immigrants to Melaka who intermarried with local women and created a unique community that has a blend cultural traditions of both races. View their unique heritage at this private museum along Heeren Street. Jln Tun Tan Cheng Lock

Villa Sentosa
This house was built in the early 20th century with the style fashionable during the era, has been converted into a private museum. Located in Kampung Morten, the only Malay village in the heart of Melaka city, they houses costume, embroidery, furniture and weaponry collections.

UMNO Museum
The museum was officiated by the Melaka Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam in August 2004. Various important documents including those on the early history of the Malay struggle for their rights under the Malayan Union and for independence are display here.

Melaka Islamic Museum
Located in Jalan Kota and formerly the office of the Melaka Islamic Council (MAIM), this museum contains documents and artifacts pertaining to Islam and was set up to be the centre for research on the arrival of Islam in Melaka and the Malay archipelago.

Kampung Chitty Museum
This small museum along Jalan Gajah Berang belongs to the Chitty community, descendants of Indian traders and local women. Among the exhibits in this museum are cultural and religious artifacts, traditional costumes, household tools and old photographs.

Literature Museum
Situated behind the Stadthuys, this museum contains materials from written historical records of Melaka and original handwritten historical manuscripts, works from Munsyi Abdullah. There are local paintings as well as a gallery honouring the national and local writers.

Open to the public since 1997, this museum in Ayer Keroh portrays the aspects
of life of Malaysia's and to a certain extent, Melaka's native settlers.
